Safety Standards for PRISMONT Perimeter Protection Systems
PRISMONT safety fences and protective partitions are designed to meet the safety requirements applicable to industrial machinery and hazardous environments. Their design is based on three essential principles: installation flexibility, fast implementation and compliance with industrial safety standards.
PRISMONT perimeter protection systems are developed in accordance with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and the main harmonized standards applicable to machine guarding systems. These standards define requirements related to guard design, safety distances and the manufacturing quality of metal structures used in industrial environments.
Manufactured using carefully selected materials for durability and strength, PRISMONT mesh safety fences ensure effective protection of machinery, robotic cells and hazardous areas while maintaining excellent visibility of the protected zone.
All PRISMONT fencing systems are certified by an independent third-party organization and have undergone impact and resistance tests to guarantee their performance and compliance with machine safety requirements.
Applicable Standards and Certifications
PRISMONT safety fencing systems comply with the following standards:
UNI EN ISO 14120:2015
Safety requirements for the design and construction of fixed and movable guards used to protect hazardous areas around industrial machinery.
Statement of conformity TÜV Nord: DM-124554-17, in combination with PRISMONT posts.
UNI EN ISO 13857:2020
Safety distances to prevent hazard zones from being reached by upper and lower limbs. This standard defines the minimum distances required between a protective guard and a hazardous area.
UNI EN ISO 3834-3
Quality requirements for welding processes used in industrial metal structures.
ICIM Certification: 3834-100009-00
These certifications ensure that PRISMONT perimeter protection systems meet international requirements for machine safety, structural resistance and industrial compliance.
All Norms and Directives That The Customer Must Comply To When Using PRISMONT Modular Machines Safety Fences
When installing safety fences around industrial machinery, it is essential to comply with international safety distance standards, particularly UNI EN ISO 13857.
These safety distances prevent operators from reaching hazardous areas over, under or through a protective guard, taking into account factors such as:
Fence height
Mesh opening dimensions
Position of the hazard zone
Possible reach of upper or lower limbs
PRISMONT fencing systems are designed to facilitate compliance with these requirements and enable the installation of perimeter protection adapted to various industrial environments.
Consult our complete safety distance guide for industrial mesh safety fencing to access detailed tables, diagrams and installation recommendations compliant with ISO standards.
Our mobile team of technicians will then be at your service, whether for routine maintenance, installation or start-up of your machines, problem analysis, diagnosis, corrective action or machines’ relocation.
