Description
Description of the Safety Bar
This multi-function, heavy-duty safety device includes several adjustment options and is suitable for many types of machines. Mounted directly on the machine it is protecting, it allows the operator to perform routine Start/Stop actions or activate an emergency stop in unexpected hazardous situations. A single microswitch is included on the MST-BS01 (assembled on the left housing), while the MST-BS02 is equipped with a dual safety microswitch. This safety device is designed to be mounted near the ground for being operated with feet (typical emergency function), or in raised position.
Main Components (numbered on diagram)
- Adjustable angular anchorage stirrups - in pressed steel
- Main boxes, equipped with one or two microswitch - electrically interlocked
- Spiral springs for the bar recall in resting position
- Connection bar - in tubular stainless steel
- Clamps for adjustment of manoeuvre bar
- Manoeuvre bar - in tubular aluminum
Advantages of the MST-BS01 / MST-BS02
- Versatile safety control: Start, Stop, emergency stop
- Hand or foot operation
- Multiple adjustments to fit different machines
- Single interlock (BS01) or double interlock (BS02) depending on safety requirements
- Automatic return to resting position thanks to spring system
- Robust industrial construction: pressed steel, tubular steel, aluminum
- Compliant with OSHA / ANSI / ISO-EN / CE standards
About Interlocking and Compliance with Safety Standards
Interlocking is a safety mechanism that prevents a machine from starting or immediately stops it if the safety bar is not in a safe position. Depending on the model, the bar integrates 1 safety microswitch (BS01), or 2 safety microswitches (BS02) to reliably monitor its closed or safe position.
The MST-BS01 / MST-BS02 safety bars are fully compliant with major international machine-safety standards:
OSHA, ANSI, ISO-EN, CE. They help prevent unintended restarts, improve operator protection and ensure compliance with modern industrial safety regulations.

Maintenance
Before each use, inspect the bar for signs of wear, deformation, or abnormal behaviour. Cleaning and maintenance must be performed only by trained personnel and only when the machine is completely stopped. Clean the bar regularly to ensure reliable activation and maintain optimal visibility of the work area.
