Description
Description of the Hydraulic Press Safety Guard
The MST-BF10 protects the operator from direct contact with dangerous moving parts by means of a front-mounted shield. Built for integration with hydraulic presses and diverse machines, it features a wide-visibility reversible opening shield that opens vertically, horizontally, left, or right. The position-release knob and rubbing articulation design allow for efficient repositioning—especially crucial when frequent changes of operations are needed. An embedded safety microswitch ensures the machine remains turned off if the guard is open or improperly positioned.
Note: Specify the mounting side by adding the suffix:
- /DX = Right
- /SX = Left
Main Components (Numbered on Diagram)
- Angular anchorage stirrup - in pressed steel
- Articulated arms in tubular steel
- Rubbing articulation with friction disc
- Angular junction for vertical turnover of the shield
- Main box with 180° rotation and safety microswitch with n.2 NC contacts - electrically interlocked
- Shield-opening release knob
- Shield structure in aluminum profile
- Shield in plastic shockproof and oil-resistant material
Advantages of the Hydraulic Press Safety Guard
- Versatile access: Vertical/horizontal and left/right opening to match workflow
- Express adjustment: Rubbing articulation plus position-release knob allow repositioning in seconds
- Integrated safety: Safety microswitch and interlock system ensure the press cannot be started if guard is open
- Clear-view protection: Transparent, oil-resistant shock-proof shield provides unobstructed visibility of the work zone
- Industrial durability: Extruded-aluminium frame and components designed for heavy-duty use
- Compliance guarantee: Built to meet OSHA, ANSI, ISO-EN and CE machine-safety norms
About the Interlock System
The interlock prevents machine start-up when the protective guard is open or misaligned. This critical safety mechanism significantly reduces accident risk and ensures full compliance with international machine-safety standards. Reliable and precise, the system enables machine operation only when the guard is fully closed and secured, providing maximum operator protection. This product meets OSHA, ANSI, ISO-EN, and CE standards.
Maintenance & Safety
Before each use, verify that the shield is intact and the microswitch operates correctly. Clean the machine only when powered down and by qualified personnel. Regularly clean the transparent screen to maintain optimum visibility of the work area.
