Description
Description of the Grinder Safety Guard
The MST-MA11 safety guard is designed to protect the operator’s face from the projection of sparks and emery during bench grinding or polishing. Its dual front-shield design maximizes coverage of the working area while maintaining a clear, unobstructed view of the workpiece.
The multi-adjustable hexagonal steel arm structure provides great flexibility of installation and can be securely anchored to a wide variety of machine structures — even those with grindstone in «overhang» position.
The support hinge includes a built-in interlocking safety microswitch that detects when the guard is open.
As soon as a shield is lifted, the machine’s control circuit is interrupted, stopping rotation immediately. The MST-MA11 fully complies with OSHA, ANSI, ISO-EN, and CE standards, supporting industrial safety audits and regulatory compliance initiatives.
Each shield is made from schockproof transparent plastic, providing superior impact protection and long-lasting visibility.

About the Interlocking System
The MST-MA11 is equipped with a safety microswitch connected to the machine’s control circuit. When the guard is opened, the circuit is interrupted, causing the machine to stop immediately and preventing any restart until the guard is fully closed and the system reset according to the manufacturer’s procedure. This interlocking system ensures a high level of functional safety and meets all OSHA, ANSI, ISO-EN, and CE requirements.

Maintenance
Before each use, inspect the guard for any visible damage or cracks and test the proper operation of the interlocking microswitch. All cleaning or maintenance must be performed only by qualified personnel and with the machine fully powered off. Clean the shields regularly to maintain clear visibility and extend the service life of the guard.
