The MST-TR30 universal 360° drill press safety guard is a robust device designed to secure the drilling area. With two shields —one in the front and one in the rear— it provides true 360° coverage around the tool. Its lateral-opening hinge integrates a safety microswitch that interlocks the machine so it can start only when the guard is fully closed. The anchorage to the machine and the shield fastening are independently adjustable for precise positioning relative to the spindle. Compliant with OSHA, ANSI, ISO-EN, and CE.
The MST-TR30 360° safety guard protects operators from contact with components of the spindle and from the projection of shavings, chips and coolant. Designed to be installed on the left side of the machine, this safety guard has 2 shields; one in the front, and one in the rear, thus providing a perfect 360° coverage around the tool. The front shield’s side-opening provides quick access to the work area, while the rear shield completes full-area coverage. Both the machine anchorage system and the shield fastening can be adjusted to position the guard optimally according to the spindle position. The hinge-integrated safety microswitch prevents machine start when the guard is open, supporting a high level of safety.
The microswitch built into the hinge monitors the closed position. Once wired into the safety circuit, the drill press can only start when the guard is fully closed. This significantly reduces accident risk and supports compliance with OSHA, ANSI, ISO-EN, and CE.
Before each use, check the guard for visible cracks or damage and verify the safety microswitch functions correctly. Cleaning must be performed by trained personnel with the machine fully stopped.
